Capt. Hector Rivera - Growing up with salt-water sport fishing in his blood, Capt. Hector Rivera has extensive experience on the water and is the pioneer and visionary behind ANTHEM FISHING TEAM. His father introduced him to boating and fishing at a very early age by taking him out to the “canyons” off the coast of New York where the seas can become challenging and the fishing incredibly exciting. During his youth, his father often had him navigate the family boat all the while consistently taking him to the local power squadron schools to increase his nautical knowledge. As the lead driver of ANTHEM FISHING TEAM, Capt. Rivera prides himself on being an integral part of Team Anthem while tournament fishing in the waters off of South East Florida. From his homeport in West Palm Beach, FL, a partner in the personal injury law firm of Smith, Vanture & Rivera, LLP, Capt. Rivera is in his second year competing in the Southern Kingfish Association’s (SKA) Division 10 circuit.

Capt. Hector Mesa - Hector was raised in Miami and has been an angler on the waters of Miami for the past twenty years.  Hector teaches anglers of all ages, but always keep an open mind to new ideas and techniques. Whether it’s kite fishing for sails, trolling, drift fishing, bottom fishing, or wreck fishing, there is always something to learn or share from the novice to the most experienced.  Hector fished in Division 10 last year under his own team name and in 2008 joined Team Anthem. Hector operates Simply Hooked Charters and presently runs a Bluewater 2850.

Jose Lopez Jr. - Born and Raised in South Florida, Jose has naturally been surround around the water all his life. During his childhood years with the guidance of his dad, Jose Sr., he developed the time and skills which has led him to enjoy the hobby throughout his adult life. Fishing the waters with different captains off the Florida Keys, South Florida, Caribbean, and Hawaii, have led him to learn different aspects of the game fishing world. Jose currently operates a 36 Yellowfin and competes in various fishing tournaments throughout the year.

Jeff Berman - Jeff has been boating since the age of 8 and has owned a boat since he was 13. Jeff has fished recreationally for the past 10 years and has competed in a variety of SKA tournaments for the past 5 years including SKA Division 11 with Team Devocean and now SKA Division 10 as part of Team Anthem.  Jeff runs a Monza Z280 for offshore fishing and an Action Craft 1720se for inshore fishing. Jeff is President of Angler Systems Inc. an online retail tackle store that is one of Team Anthem's sponsors.

Matthew Berman - In 2009 Matthew joins Team Anthem as our junior angler. Matthew will be 12 by the time of the first SKA event. He has been fishing inshore and offshore since the age of 3 and is most at home when on the water. He has caught many Kingfish over the last 6 years and has fished two SKA events with Team Devocean in 2005/06.
